Connects seamlessly with Debian for pulling files to my tablet

Then uninstalled AndFTP and uninstalled AndFTPPro key

And it comes up with an error message asking the an upgrade to 4

Description

AndFTP Pro unlocks advanced features for AndFTP application. AndFTP is a FTP, FTPS, SCP and SFTP client. It provides commands to rename, delete, set permissions on remote files and folders. It can upload or download files and folders recursively. It supports RSA and DSA keys for SSH. You need AndFTP free installed. Features in Pro version are SCP support, folder synchronization, custom commands and import settings from file. Pro version acts as an unlock key, it does not have any icon and you cannot open it. Once installed it unlocks all features of the free application. You can check it by running the free application, then Menu->Options->Advanced and you should see "License: Pro".
