Ecosia is a search engine that donates at least 80% of its surplus income generated from ad revenue to tree planting programs in Burkina Faso, Madagascar and Peru. By searching with Ecosia you can help the environment for free! Since our founding in Berlin in 2009, we've already been able to plant more than 5 million trees (status August 2016). In keeping with its commitment to transparency, Ecosia publishes receipts for all donations made on its website.
