Sales Tax Tracker helps you save money on your taxes Our App allows you to 1) Snap a picture of your receipt on any purchase you make with sales tax 2) Track the item and amount spent 3) Save a copy of the receipt The App will create a CSV file with date, time, and amount of sales tax paid. It also saves the picture of your receipt. The App also allows you to back up your receipts to a cloud based storage service for you to download to your computer and present to your tax preparer. Services available are ICloud (Apple), One drive (Microsoft), Play (Android), and Dropbox If you file a Form 1040, and itemize deductions on Schedule A, you have the option of claiming either state or local income taxes you paid or state and local sales taxes you paid (you can’t claim both). If you saved your receipts throughout the year, you can add up the total amount of sales taxes you actually paid and claim that amount.
